OUR PEOPLE

Strathfield

Run by
students.
Supported
BY AFES.

Strathfield is a relaxed suburban campus of mostly education students but we also get other degrees studying there. EOC Strathfield is a smaller group, but the bonus of this is that you can know everyone! And they are always looking to invite others into this community.  You’ll often find us meeting outside the library, or in the quad area or cafeteria either reading our Bibles or having fun. We also enjoy spending time with the North Sydney students for our social events, and at our combined Cross-Training and conferences.

Lochy Howson
Student President

Hey! I’m currently in my 3rd year of studying a Bachelor of Education (Secondary)/ Bachelor of Exercise Science. I was overjoyed when I found out about EOC and have been grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside others ever since joining!

Vic Hung
Vice-President

Hi, I’m Victoria, a 4th year education and arts student at ACU. One of my favourite things about EOC is the weekly bible training and growth groups which spur me on to work heartily for Jesus in all that I do. This year, I’m really excited to keep growing my boldness to chat with non-Christian students about Jesus on campus!

Jayden Inglis
Secretary

Hey, I’m Jayden Donald Inglis (full name for the win). I’m a second-year studying Primary and Secondary Ed. My favourite thing about EOC is the opportunity to make university worthwhile for an eternal significance, by spending time deep in God’s word with fellow believers and non-believers.

Esther Park
Treasurer

Hi, my name’s Esther! I’m a third year education student studying early childhood and primary teaching. I have the privilege to be serving as treasurer for EOC this year which entails helping our uni Christian group faithfully steward our finances as a means for the gospel to be proclaimed on campus. I love being able to grow together as a faith community, and outside of my time at EOC and partaking in my studies, I enjoy decompressing through sunsets and evening runs!

EOC provides such a valuable time to be trained and grown in my ability to serve and evangelise well, so that I might be able to go out on campus and into my church with skills to make Jesus known!

EOC has been a great opportunity to spend time with other Christians by learning more and deepening our understanding of God’s Word. I’ve also really valued the connections and friendships I’ve made through the various EOC programs and activities.

I love being part of EOC! As a first-year, it helped me to connect in a community of people who love Jesus. Joining a First-Year Group was a great way to meet and make friends with other first-year students.

EOC has been a place which I have been able to set aside time in my week to listen to the Bible being taught. This has been amazing as it is something I don’t often get to do at other points in the week.

on your own

What if uni isn’t just about your degree, but discovering something bigger? You don’t have to figure it out alone. Come join our group, meet other students who are asking the same big questions, explore Jesus together, and find friendships and support that make the journey easier. We’d love to see you get connected and be part of what’s happening.
